Truly, the Unity of us, the Black People is seen as an impossible reality, because the ramification of the impact of colonization has left us, as a broadly divided people! Worst, the backlash of colonization has left us, as a Diaspora of multitudes of dislodged people in the western world castrated of the knowledge of the history of Origin and Past. Therefore, to those of us that believe, the unity of the Black people is only a dream, empathy is to be shown! In truth, is not such thought a disease fostered by colonization?

As facts, should not the Black people be the most united people of all, because we are coming out of the worst atrocities suffered in History? Have we not suffered Genocide, Enslavement, Dislodgement and Segregation, whereby we are only now coming out of? Was it not in 1957, that Laws were established to end Segregation here in Canada? Which nation on Earth that suffered any atrocity does not seek UNITY? Therefore should not we, the Black people do likewise? Which of us can say, those words are not “TRUE”, or we do not know?

Since “We know”, then I ask us here in Toronto, please let us come together and put in place a Foundation to represent all the Black Communities here in Toronto! Truthfully, with the exception of the Natives, are we not the poorest people of the society, and are we not facing an overwhelming lack of Economical opportunities?

Worst, are not the Black Sector very much dependent on the governments and the other sectors of the Society for our well being, because there is no central plan in place, nor is there a collective focus to ensure prosperity? Yet, for any Race, Nation, Crete, Tribe or Group is to properly grow, develop, and contribute to its Society, it must first be united and organized within self, and have a representation of a governing body, which cater to all needs. Therefore where is “The HOPE”?

Does not every Sector and/or Group here in Toronto has in place a form of organization to represent and facilitate to its needs? Then is it not essential for the Black people to do likewise? Especially, to cater to the needs of Education and Employment! Is not Education and Employment “The Back-bone of Prosperity”, which determines the Quality of Life, and creates a Healthy Society?

Does not Poverty breed’s criminality, and the lack of opportunities is the lure to deviants? Thus the solution of the dilemmas of the Black Sector begins with the creation of a Central Governing Head, and is the most urgent action that must be taken! As such, giving birth to the Pinnacle of HOPE!

This is it! What will it take for Black people, as a collective to grow and prosper? Is it not for us to begin a process that will help us to provide for ourselves! Is this not true?

Since the creation of a central Head is the most important and urgent action that must be taken by the Black Sector, I BLACK Inc. has put forth a “Basic Proposal” for the creation of such Foundation. Thus I, Edmond .J. Vassell hereby seek the endorsement, comments, inputs, and the help of each and every Black person here of the City of Toronto, in bring the creation of “TORONTO BLACK COMMUNITIES FOUNDATION” to “Fruition”.

Truthfully, we can refuse to take action, by refusing to give our support and help, so I say to you, is not all that is put forth is TRUE and what we must do? Surely, I can only present the antidote! Remember the Bible says, “If anyone does not provide for his own, especially for those of his own house, he has denied the faith, and is worst than an infidel (Timothy 5: 8)?
